Victory through Unity '08
A Huge Success in Brewer
More than 200 people turned out for an evening of Party Unity
and the '08 Campaign Kick-off.

Democrats from around Penobscot County descended on Brewer Saturday night for the Victory through Unity '08 event held at Jeff's Catering in Brewer. More than 200 attendees joined our efforts to capitalize on the tremendous energy we have seen this election year. Peter Chandler, Chair of the Democratic Coordinated Campaign spoke to the crowd - updating them on the the status of Maine's organizing efforts. Rep. Sean Faircloth, House Majority Whip, whipped up the crowd by focusing on the tremendous slate of House and Senate candidates who were in attendence.

The Cooridnated Campaign signed up 50 new volunteers and our candidates identified new supporters and help for their campaigns. More images of the event.

The Penobscot County Democratic Committee wants to thank our amazing Host Committee that helped make this event possible:

Maine Senate Race Gets National Attention.
Step up for Tom Allen - Get Involved!

Tom Allen is running for the US Senate next year to replace one of George Bush's enablers in the Senate - Susan Collins.

From torturing and illegal wiretapping to exploding deficits due to massive tax cuts to our nation's wealthiest - Susan Collins has been one of Bush's key votes in the US Senate.

Now - more than ever - we need to increase the Democratic voice of reason in the US Senate, before Bush expands his war in the middle east to Iran. Now - more than ever - we need a rationale voice to represent Maine.

This race has gained national attention as one of the key races where Democrats can extend their margin in the US Senate, moving one step closer to ending the war in Iraq.

We encourage each of you to find a candidate or cause that moves you and get involved. The future of our constitution is at stake. Visit the Tom Allen for Senate web site to find out how you can get involved and help stop Susan Collins.
